Prices stay in your browser. Currency changes the display symbol only; no exchange-rate conversion is performed.
How it works
Enter the price and size of each package you buy, then enter how much of that ingredient the recipe uses. Practical Mesh converts compatible units to the same base unit, calculates the fraction of each package used, and adds those ingredient costs together.
Finished yield is used to divide the batch cost into a cost per item or serving. Currency selection changes formatting only; it does not perform exchange-rate conversion.
Example
If a 1 kg bag of flour costs $4.00 and a recipe uses 250 g, the flour contribution is $1.00. Add the remaining ingredients and divide the total by the finished yield to get cost per item.
Limitations
Mass and volume are deliberately kept separate. A cup of flour and a cup of sugar do not weigh the same, so the calculator will not guess a density for you.
This is an ingredient-cost estimate. It does not include labour, packaging, utilities, overhead, selling fees, taxes, waste, or profit margin unless you include those costs separately in your own planning.
FAQ
Can I use grams with a package priced in kilograms?
Yes. Compatible mass units such as g, kg, oz, and lb are converted automatically.
Can I convert cups to grams?
No. That requires an ingredient-specific density, so the calculator rejects mass-to-volume conversions instead of inventing one.
Does changing currency convert prices?
No. The currency selector only changes how your numbers are displayed.
